I recently read this great article about different dog breeds and what owning one says about its owner.

The article suggests things such as men who own Golden Retrievers are drama-free and possibly ready to settle down. It also mentions that men who own Beagles are considered the “all-American” male.

Read the rest of the article to see what else they have to say and find out what it says about you/your man!

Ladies, this one is for you! Enjoy!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope that you are all enjoying your weekend, especially with your pets!  Just the other weekend, we shared some fun dog quotes we found, so this weekend, it’s time for some fun cat quotes! If you know some good cat quotes as well, we would love to hear them! You can do so by leaving us a comment below!

  • “Thousands of years ago, cats were worshiped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.”- Anonymous
  • “One cat just leads to another.” -Ernest Hemingway
  • “Cats always seem so very wise, when staring with their half-closed eyes. Can they be thinking, “I’ll be nice, and maybe she will feed me twice?” – Bette Midler
  • “There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast.”- Anonymous
  • “Dogs come when they’re called; cats take a message and get back to you later.” – Mary Bly

This week’s giveaway was tons of fun because we got to see so many cute and silly pictures of your pets’ faces! They were all fantastic photos, but just to mention a few:

"I love how we always seem to catch Leah mid-yawn so her pictures turn out like this. I like to think it's just her own Elvis impression. :) " - Jessica S.

"We love EVERYTHING about Sagira but the thing that caught my eye was her beautiful blue eyes. She has one full blue eye and one 1/2 brown and 1/2 blue eye, but they are breath taking in person." - Christina B.

"I love Praline's "Phantom of the Opera" face and her little grouchy mouth." - Paula G.

"darwin has a gap between her front and back teeth that makes a perfect slot for her tongue to rest. i love it." - Brooke A.

"This is Harlequen. She got her name because her full mask or markings didn't come in. She is 6yrs. young. When I look at that face I can't help, but love her." - Julie K.

And the winner of the random drawing:

"We love this one because, she looks like a little black mouse and we think shes an absolute doll in the picture." - Terri W.

Rambo and Xiah

My name is Rambunctious, a Yorkiepoo, and I’m two years old.

I love to play with squeaky toys, balls, and my best friend Xiah the cat.

My nickname is Rambo because when I was little and in the play-pen area with my sisters and brothers I kept sneaking away by doing the soldier crawl under the fallen leaves.

How cute is this dog-cat pair?? Let them know by leaving a comment!

This fun blog is brought to you by Twinkie the Teacup Chihuahua!

Many dog owners complete the AKC Canine Good Citizen course as a precursor to therapy dog certification. Since our brindle chiweenie*, Frankie, passed her CGC test with “flying” colors, we entertained the thought of making her … a therapy dog.

Becoming a therapy dog is a serious matter. TDI, Therapy Dogs International, is a prestigious organization with strict rules and guidelines. Would our chiweenie make a good therapy dog? Since TDI encourages the owners to continue training beyond CGC in order to develop some off-leash control, increase in the dog’s reliability, and to further enhance the bond between pooch and handler, we decided to do some in home training.  The Canine Good Citizen needed a pad for her “sits” This is where and how the brindle pup spent Puppy Class We even used her as “demo kitty” at our vet’s

The vet used her to demonstrate how to administer deworming pills to a . . . cat

Brindle chiweenies are notorious for being deathly afraid of cute kittens

Time to prank her once again!

We’re going to stick her in the nursery room with the newborn kittens and their FERAL mom (notice squirt bottle)

OMD not the feral cat too!

Chiweenies make outstanding prank victims!!

* A chiweenie is a “designer dog” also known as a mixed bred, also known as a mutt. It is a cross between a chihuahua and a doxie.

Go ahead, prank a chiweenie!

This is a funny e-mail forward I just received. :)

Have you seen my lipstick?

.

Why would you even ask me that?

I’m insulted!

Every time something goes missing

Around here, everybody looks at me!

For your information, I don’t even wear

That shade – it doesn’t flatter my

Complexion and it tastes terrible.
