Within 24 hour, of the vet and the ER vet faxing the insurance forms to Trupanion, we received confirmation, payment and condolonces as our pet eventually died after surgery. In addition, within the same week a notification that Trupanion cancelled our policy and monthly premium and even refunded us the remainder of the month. Since our dog died they had these records and took the initiative. Incredible. We also received an authentic heartfelt condolence note. We had never used Trupanion before, and wasn’t sure animal insurance was “worth” the premium but in one tragic emergency they were there emotionally and financially. Truly a customer focused insurance company.

I was reading today on the puter while the stupid humans were at work, there was an article on BlogHer about what costs stupid humans will or won’t go to in an effort to save their pet. My lady wanted to remind every bully to please please please get pet insurance if you don’t have it. I have Trupanion Pet Insurance and they have been THE BESTESTEST ever. They even reimbursed my humans for a lousy ears infections. That’s all I have to say, I’m going to go raise holy hell now that those jerks are home – YAHOO! -Lucy the Bulldog

I chose Trupanion on the word of my good friend Nandita who knows that Trupanion kept her big guy alive through thick and thin. He sadly passed this week but Trupanion has been nothing but wonderful to her and Kaloo. They stood by her and helped her every every step of the way. There are quite a few companies offering insurance out there and it can get confusing. Knowing Trupanion was there her for her was all I needed to know when I chose insurance for my dogs. -Martha P.

Hello, I wanted to write about my experince with Trupanion for my GSD Charlie. Charlie had a bad laceration on his paw in November that called for an emergency care. As soon as i filed the claims, trupanion kept me in touch and well informed about the procedure. Trupanion did 100% what they promissed! They did cover 90% of the expenses! Not only that, but they answered all my questions patiently, they chatted on-line – which is a real time saver, all – I mean all – employees i was in touch with had nothing but kind words to say about my pet while explaining what was going on with the claim. I can’t thank these guys enough! I really can’t! Troupanion sent the check immediately following their e-mail with a clear explainiation of what was covered! A huge help! I have nothing but the best words for these guys!

I thought a lot about purchasing pet insurance when I first brought my beautiful Shiloh Shepherd Lupa home, but when I stopped to think about it, the cost seemed comparable to what a couple of cups of coffee would be. I just didn’t want to be in a position where I had consider having her put down because I couldn’t afford her medical costs. Today I am so thankful that I made that choice. Lupa was recently diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which basically means that her pancreas is not working. She was literally starving before my eyes, despite my best attempts to save her. Thankfully, there are products out there to cope with this condition, and she’s quickly becoming stabilized. My sincere appreciation to Trupanion and to your staff, who have been there every step of the way. You definitely have a believer in me. -Maureen E.

Trupanion pet insurance has made my life so much easier. When I fould out my Sadie was sick my first thought was how can I afford to help her. Luckly I purchase Trupanion for her and I have not had to worry about how to pay even once. From day one Trupanion has helped me though the process without any problems, and with the kindest employess I have ever delt with. Thanks Trupaion with making my life that much easier.

I chose the Zero deductible 90% refunded policy. And my 14month just came down with some serious illness. Trupanion is already reviewing my 1st two claims which I should get back a.s.a.p. and she needed more blood work today and may need an ultra sound. I live in Fl. near the U.F. University of Florida (Best Pet Vet’s in the country at this University) . Am I glad I chose Trupanion? YES! And they have a perfect record with the Better Business Bureau A+ and No COMPLAINTS!!!! Thank you, Trupanion. I can honestly say that I’ve never had Blue Cross/Blue Shield ask for a picture of anyone in my family that they were paying a claim on. Mel asked for a picture of Chip which I gladly sent her way. So far, Trupanion has reimbursed over $2,000 in expenses for Chip’s surgery and recovery. 10/10 Fantastic service as always!
Trupanion continues to be the best decision I made in 2011. I adopted my dog in June, signed up for the free trial insurance that month, and unfortunately discovered some health issues my puppy had in July. I continued the coverage and it has been seamless ever since. Email notification of the claim process is easy and clear, and coverage is received in the mail within a week or two of filing the claim. I never feel like I have to “prove” that claims are related, and ongoing care following bone surgery was covered with no problems. We complain all the time that we wish our human insurance was as good as our pet insurance. We will be loyal customers for a long time!
